Adel AlSafar set up Computer World W.L.L. in 1984. Since then, it has been on the leading frontier to Bahrain's Information Technology. Adel AlSafar graduated from United Kingdom with degree in Computer Science in 1979 and has the credit of attending a numerous Management and I.T. related programs both in the UK and USA.
The success of Adel AlSafar over the years attributes to his academic background, his vision and knowledge. His prime approach is to introduce new and unique technologies in the market, thus keeping the organization on the forefront. He has been the guiding force and laying the vision for the growth of the organization. Under his able guidance, Computer World expanded its business and partners alliances and has won many International Awards.
His professional career started with Gulf Air in late 1979 in the Information Technology Management Services field and was part of Gulf Air team till 1984. Due to the growing needs of skilled IT personnel in Bahrain, Adel AlSafar set up the first information technology training institute in 1981 (Bahrain Computer and Management Institute). In 1984, decided to address the growing demand in providing the IT industry with the state of the art information technology related products and services and decided to leave Gulf Air in mid 1984 and formed Computer World W.L.L.
Today apart from being the Chief Executive Officer of Computer World W.L.L., Adel AlSafar is also the Chief Executive Officer of Infonet an audio text IVR Company, board member and Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Institute of Technology, Chairman of Infotouch specializing in outdoor advertising, Chairman of InfoCall an outsourced call center in Bahrain and the Chairman of New Millennium School, an affiliate of Delhi Public School.
Apart from the current business activities, Adel AlSafar is actively involved in various political and social activities. |
